April, 2016. Well, the show season has finally started for us after a fairly mild winter. The dogs have been lazy and having fun playing in the snow for 6 months. But, like troopers they fell back into the show routine rather quickly. We headed to the Silver State Kennel Club shows at Buffalo Bills Casino in Primm Nevada April 2nd and 3rd. The girls performed very well but a win was not to be as the competition was very tough. Asher took Select Dog for 2 points losing BOB to a very nice Jadestar dog. Thank you Judge Dr. G.C. Penta for this nice win. Yours truly handling. Asher is now at 61 Grand Champion pointsApril, 2016.
Well Aquila and Asher went to the Primm, NV shows in mid-March. Aquila did not win but Asher took select one day. Both left the show with Carlos Carrizo to show in California. Below are their results.

May 7th and 8th, Rio Hondo KC Cal Poly Pomona, CA, Aquila went Winners Bitch but received no points as it was such a small show.

Onora Cassiopeia, or Rosie received her first Major on August 20, 2016 handled by Shea Jonsrud. Special thanks to Judge Ms. N.E. Talbot for giving both sisters Aquila and Cassiopeia a Major win. Also of note, on this same day, another 1/2 sister sired by Asher went Reserve Winners Bitch from a puppy class. Rosie is owned by our good friends Robert and Leslie White.
2015
Asher began the year with a 5 point win at the Irish Setter Club of Southern California show, January 2, 2015 at the Empire Polo grounds in Indio, CA. Thank you Judge Mr. H.J. Williams and thanks to Carlos Carrizo for his beautiful handling.
Onora Aquila went first in class at the same show as her daddy Asher. Thank you Judge Mr. H J Williams for Aquila's first win in her first show. In fact, Aquila went first in class in all three of her shows over the New Year's weekend.
Del, Onora Delphinus, went first in class the last day of the shows, January 4th, at the Palm Springs Kennel Club show beating out a nice boy that was professionally handled. Thank you judge Mrs. Karen Wilson for this honor.

May 2, 2015, Our new girl Maggie (Red Fire Bright Promises at Onora) went first in her puppy 6-9 month class beating her sister and litter mate. Thank you Judge Bonnoie Linnell Clarke.
May 3, 2015, Asher went OS today for another two points and Aquila again took Reserve Winners Bitch again. I handled both. Thank you Judge Mrs. Paula Hartinger for these honors.
May 16, 2015, Asher went best of Breed at the Mount Ogden KC show in Logan Utah for another 5 points. Once again, he was handled by myself. Thank you Judge Ms. Nancy Popovich for the great honor. The same day, Aquila went Winners Bitch for her first 2 points under Judge Ms. Nancy Popovich.
May 17, 2015, Rosie (Onora Cassiopeia, owned by Rob and Leslie White went Winners Bitch for her first 2 points. Rosie is handled by her owner Rob White. Thank you Judge Sharon V. Derrick for the honor bestowed on this beautiful girl.
June 11, 2015, Maggie (Red Fire Bright Promises) went Reserve Winners Bitch at the tender age of 7 months at the Eagle Rock Kennel Club show in Black Foot, Idaho. Her competition was very very good so this is a huge compliment. Thank you Judge Mrs. Patricia V. Trotter. Maggie was handled by my wife, Patricia Dennis.
June 12, 2015, Aquila went Winners Bitch for a 3 point major win during the second day of the ERKC show. Thank you Judge Mrs. Judy Webb. Aquila was handled by yours truly.
June 13, Asher went Select Dog at the Pocatello Kennel Club show for 3 points. Thank you Judge Ms Denny C. Mounce.
June 14, Asher went Select Dog again today at the second day of the PKC show, but for only two points as the dogs entered today dropped. Nevertheless, many thank yous to Judge Mrs. Debbie Campbell-Freeman.
September 12 and 13, Bonneville Basin Kennel Association shows: Maggie went first in her 9 to 12 puppy bitch class beating a very fine young girl both Saturday and Sunday. She was handled by Patricia Dennis. Aquila, at 16 months, went first in her class on Saturday while her litter-mate sister Rosie (Onora Cassiopeia) took first place on Sunday. I think they like sharing these wins. Asher handled by myself went Select dog both Saturday and Sunday for a total of 4 points. One more dog in the show and it would have been 6 points. All in all, it was a good weekend for Onora Irish Setters. Thank you Judges Mr. Norman B Kenney and Col Joe B. Purkhiser.
October 9 - 11 Asher, Rosey, Maggie and Aquila presented at the Irish Setter Club of Las Vegas and the Black Mountain Kennel Club shows in Primm, NV. Maggie won her class every day, Rosey won in her class 3 times while Aquila took the class on the last day and secured Reserve Winners Bitch thereafter. This was a great honor considering we had very tough competition from 3 of the top 10 Irish Setters in the nation.

Asher will start his show schedule on May 1st at the Utah shows in South Jordan. These shows are majors all 4 days so wish us luck.
Rose is pregnant and due to deliver puppies May 13th.
UPDATE Asher: Asher took second place in his class Thursday thru Friday, May 1st - Saturday May 3rd. On Sunday he took winners Dog for his first points and his first Major win. A four point major no less. We are very proud of this boy.
May 13, 2014, Rose whelped a litter of 15 puppies. The x-ray the previous week showed only 7 pups. The following day, we lost the 13th, 14th, and 15th born - all girls. Poor Rose, she held up well. A visit to the vet for calcium and hydration plus a shot of oxytocin to help the uterus contract and she recovered quickly.

July 14, 2014, five puppies are placed in new homes. They were ranked on July 11th. We are very fortunate that three boys and three girls ranked as show quality. Three are borderline show quality due to high tails and one boy will make an excellent agility dog.
August 13 and 14, 2014, Asher won Best Puppy both days in the Puppy Sweeps at the ISCC show in Greeley, CO.
August 24, 2014. White Boy also known as Onora Sculptor is the only puppy left available.
September 14, 2014. Asher took Best of Winners beating 5 others at the Bonneville Basin KC show for two more points. Thank you Judge Mr. Houston Clark for this win. Yours truly handling Asher. Yesterday 9/13/14, he went reserve.
October 10, 2014. Asher went Best of Winners in the morning and Afternoon shows at the Las Vegas Irish Setter Club Specialties earning two 4 point majors and his championship all on his 18 month birthday. Thank you judges Mrs. Keke Khan and Mrs. Rita A. Bell for these nice wins.

January 4, 2013. Our foster boy Ian has gone to his permanent home with his owner. We parented him for 14 months
and will miss him greatly. He will always hold a special place in our hearts and we know he will never forget us.

Irish Setters. She is on her way home after the show and going into Semi retirement from the show ring. In the future,
we will have fun together in the local shows here in Utah, Idaho and Colorado.
In mid-September I showed Cal at the Bonneville Kennel Club shows. We had a blast. We were there strictly to have fun and make a
majors in dogs. Cal did very well taking second place on Sunday.
October 13, we traveled to Wyoming to pick up ASHER. His registered name is Cairncross The Sting at Onora.
He is such a lovely boy and we love him dearly and he is the best behaved puppy we ever have had.
